I bought this to add a second monitor to my mini pc (Intel NUC) as 7th and 8th gen NUCs only have an HDMI -Have output for display. It was plug and play, worked straight away with a Windows 10 PC and ended up ordering about 10 more for my client's office. My client switched all PCs to an Intel NUC due to its small size and reasonable performance for business applications, but he wanted each PC to have two monitors. This item is very small so you need another HDMI cable to connect a second monitor. I tried this to capture video from my phone to the TV and it worked too. A good handy item for various purposes.
