These are not fleece, they are made of thin fabric, very light and not warm at all. I was surprised when I received them and bought them thinking my son could wear them on cooler days and keep warm. Unfortunately I live abroad and sending it back is more difficult than keeping it. If you live in a place where there are cold days, you can wear thermal underwear underneath to keep warm. TO UPDATE. My son wore them to the gym, they seem perfect for what he needs. They come in both fleece and a lighter material, I went for the later of the two so I was expecting a heavier weight version. FYI,
