Review on Bosch Sport II 2-5/8" Tachometer (Black Dial & Bezel) by Actron SP0F000025 by Jason Lee

Bought because I have an old car that doesn't have a tachometer and when towing a service trailer I wanted to get better feedback on engine performance. Pros: It was easy to hook up (+12v, ground, +dial indicator, +beep) and had about 3 feet of wire attached to it. Plenty of mounting hardware and cable splice fixings are included, although I ended up having to supply my own splices. The size is small compared to many racing inspired speedometers. The instructions were clear and well written. Cons: The bulb on the dial is quite dim compared to the in-car dash and other Bosch displays. The dial light was also incorrectly seated in the socket and I had to bend the contacts to get it to light up reliably. I really wish there was a diesel version of this sensor that would run at 5000 or 6000 rpm.
