Review on 📚 LapDesk Schoolhouse Wood LapDesk: Enhanced with Storage for Optimal Organization (45075) by Joe Gosa

Bought for my wife for Christmas. I like the look, but when I first opened it I noticed one big problem. There is a hinge bracket on the right side that should hold the top open. It's a bit difficult to open because it's so heavy. But more importantly, when I open the tabletop, I notice that the short wooden board that runs along the tabletop moves up and down slightly. This happens every time I open and close the lid. I'm sure this wooden top will break off after a few dozen uses. This is an easy fix though, just remove the 3 shields holding the hinge mount in place. Now the wooden table top opens and closes easily and the wooden top does not move anymore. I made this just before wrapping the table for Christmas. Bad design. Companies never seem to notice obvious problems with their products. It's like one person designs it, another person makes it, but NO ONE bothers to try. I saw this problem in seconds, why can't they?
