This item is a simple idea: an attachment for your drill that holds a Scotch-Brite style cleaning sponge. The drill, not your hand, does the job of cleaning your bathtub, sink, shower stall, etc. I have a fiberglass shower stall so I was concerned the pad would scratch the plastic surface. (People are often wrong when they think that because Scotch-Brite pads are made out of nylon, they hardly scratch anything. In fact, many Scotch-Brite pads have a built-in abrasive and will scratch many surfaces, even glass.) On that note , I used one of the softer (white) pads and started putting it on the shower stall for a very short time. I kept checking the surface with a bright flashlight to see if there were any small scratches, but there were never any. After satisfying myself that the pad was safe to use, I went into town to take a long shower and scrub off any accumulated suds. (I used an all purpose cleaner spray along with a drill scraper.) It worked great. When I was finished the shower cubicle was clean and there were no visible signs of wear on the cloth I used. And since you get three pads of each hardness and can use both sides of each pad, I think this one purchase will last for years.
