Only one of these batteries is required.
At first I thought I only needed ONE of these batteries. Then I discovered that I was using other remotes and before I knew it I had swapped out four batteries. Also, when I connected my voltmeter to the batteries in both garage door openers, I could barely get a reading of 11.95 volts on one and 11.90 volts on the other. How lucky I received these five packages. The voltage on the new ones fluctuated between 12.91 and 12.93 volts so I've been back in business for a while now. I will definitely buy another pack when it comes time to change all the batteries (I do this once a year whether I need them or not).
