Review on Electric Dog Fence Remote Trainer by Tim Camp

Collar broke after 2 weeks

This fence works very well. I have the dual collar version and it's great to be able to remotely adjust the shock and vibration levels for each collar. It's strong enough to work on my 30 pounds. Pitbull and our 70lb. St. Bernard Puppy. One complaint is that the horn isn't loud enough and doesn't "reset" to horn mode fast enough when my dog enters the restricted area. It should work like "beep, vibrate, hit," the dog will back off and get tired again, and the same process will happen. But most of the time it ends with "vibration, shock, shock", the dog backs away and tries again, "shock, shock". It may not seem like a big deal reading this, but as I watched my dog 'learn' his new collar, he was very confused and thought he was accidentally electrocuted. And yes, I have completed the recommended training. The biggest complaint is that the second collar broke within a month. One of the silver tabs has sheared off and cannot be easily replaced. I'll be contacting the manufacturer to see if they're getting it right and I'll post any updates here.
