I’ve been in Girl Scouting for 15+ years and my favorite thing to teach is fire safety and building! I had an older style flint and steel (rectangle shape), but decided it was time to add this to my collection as another piece of equipment to introduce people to. It was very handy and easy to use. I like that the striking portion is attached with paracord (or a similar material) because otherwise it would be easily lost. Each participant was able to practice with this and was able to start a fire with it!
