TLDR: If you're on the fence, get it - just don't go white if you don't mind dirty look or replace it within a few months. Being a bezel only, it seems to offer the best protection you could ask for. I've dropped my phone a few times and haven't seen any visible damage. It's only a bezel so obviously you're taking some risks compared to the big full cases, but there's a pretty solid edge on both the leading and trailing edges. I was more concerned about whether it would protect the rear camera lenses, but so far so good. It feels very sturdy, although it's still overpriced for what it is. I've found that a few common complaints people have are very true: The grip isn't very good as it's some kind of hard plastic and not rubberized or anything like that. The phone's exposed glass back might be a little more grippy than a cheap plastic case, but a lot less so than a higher quality case, and the Rhino bumper itself doesn't really add grip. I figured it would get better with a little wear - maybe it did, but not by much. - The case protrudes very prominently around the volume buttons on the left. It's very minimal and didn't cause me any problems, but it's a bit odd for something so expensive that it doesn't line up perfectly with the phone. Whites develop dark areas over time that you can't seem to get rid of. I may not have found the right cleaning method to bring it back to its original appearance, but I've rubbed it down fairly well with alcohol swabs and other cleaning products to no avail. It doesn't look terrible at first glance, but definitely not as good as when new. I would probably recommend using a color other than white. Overall I still like it for the most part, mostly because it looks good, is a bit unique and hasn't let me down for routine drops so far, but for the price the cons are a little disappointing. 1 year UPDATE: Came here to buy a new one so thought I'd update my review. I'm only changing it to white due to messy discoloration, other than that the case is holding up fantastic. It's worn enough that it doesn't feel slippery anymore, but I still find it odd that they couldn't just give it a better tactile finish right out of the box. I've dropped my phone a few times with this case on, and apart from maybe some very subtle small scratches (no more than you'd expect from a phone that's over a year old), there was no discernible damage. I dropped it on tile, asphalt or whatever. I'm impressed with how well it protects the phone. I've updated my rating from 3 to 4 stars because it's holding up so well. The only things stopping it from 5 stars is the inevitability that the white color will get ugly over time (I choose black this time but sad because the white looks so pretty) and the fact that it's too slippery to wear it after a few months. I was hesitant when I bought it at the original price (can't remember now I think it was about $40 or so) but now for $25 and many times it has protected my phone, without the need for a full sleeve and the fact that there isn't really an equivalent alternative doesn't bother me.
