Review on 🍵 Yama Glass Chinese Water Kettle (40 oz): Authentic and Stylish Tea Brewing Solution by Adrienne Phillips

I was looking for a plastic-free kettle. Also considered stainless steel but prefers glass for aesthetic reasons and to see what I'm brewing, like herbal tea. Nicely made but fragile. I left the kettle on once too long because it didn't have a whistle. Then he did it again and the glass broke from the thermal shock. Do not pour cold or even hot water on it. Let it cool down. I bought it again because I still love using it, but wish it was thicker and more durable. One thing I do now is fill the kettle all the way up so the lid will rattle when it's fully boiling. Also some notes on watering. The handle falls to the side and the lid is easy to remove. Since steam escapes from under the lid, I always use an oven mitt to hold the handle. I also used a kitchen towel to hold the lid in place. Even if the kettle is oriented with the spout facing left in front of you, the handle is leaning back from you. So when I hold the kettle (I'm right-handed) I turn the handle towards me so the kettle doesn't swing by the handle. The handle stays in place when upright, but fill the kettle with enough water and it wobbles. Another thing to look out for is the wooden handle, which is attached to the jar lid with some sort of glue. the shape of the spout and the hole in the lid. My second teapot has both a spout and a larger hole. This bothered me a little after using my first favorite kettle in its short life. There were also more bubbles in the glass. So no two are exactly alike. Next time I'll probably buy a stainless steel kettle. Or maybe just use a pan like I've done before.
