defect out of the box.
Installed a new sensor and did not fix the problem. I checked the sensor during installation and found it to be defective. No voltage change was detected when moving the position of the sensor from the extreme front position to the extreme rear position. I didn't send the device back because it was cheap and I will use it as a test device for comparison in the future.
