Firstly I suspect the supplement for these machines is fairly general and somewhat fluid as there are a number of 'Certified Refurbished' brokers offering these machines. It can be worth taking the time to review the system specifications with a particular vendor before ordering. The item I ordered was from Blair Technology Group. It's a Dell Optiplex 7010 in a desktop case, not a small form factor device, but that's fine for my purposes. It came with 16GB of RAM, a 2TB hard drive, and a quad-core Intel i5-3470 processor. Windows 10 was pre-installed on the hard drive, keyboard and mouse with USB connection were included in the scope of delivery, they will gather dust in the closet. After opening the box, I opened the unit to check the components, then zipped everything back up and hooked up an old HP 1280 x 1024 monitor via VGA. Harbor. The machine quickly booted up to Win 10 with no problems. After completing the personalization steps, I checked various hardware components, particularly the audio inputs/outputs. Everything worked. I cycled the machine, pressed F12 to switch to UEFI/BIOS mode, and found that the machine was set to "Legacy" mode (BIOS mode) and an insecure boot. This configuration works for most users, especially those who use Win 10 for personal use and don't want to make any other major changes. I installed the GeForce GTX 710 card in the half-height card slots (there are four in the SFF 7010 as opposed to two). Connect both monitors, configure the system to use UEFI and configure boot devices to view the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS ISO image on the USB drive. Installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on a spare 300GB drive I had (pull the 2TB drive out of the computer - since it uses MBR to boot, it somehow gets lost in the UEFI environment and ends up being reused). This thing works purely on Ubuntu 16.04 with a couple of USB hard drives attached and a graphics card installed. Memory is the biggest bonus since I'm using a photo editing tool written in javascript (big memory hog). In general I am satisfied. Ready to use - easy to set up.
