Warms great doesn't stay fluffy

I ordered this as one of the lightning deals on a whim but while I love it I think it's worth noting that it doesn't stay as fluffy , even if you do, follow the care instructions. Received it yesterday and washed it straight away so the photos show the unboxing, the original texture and fluffiness and then the texture after washing showing some dulling and loss of softness. I'm very picky about blankets so I'm not that upset about the lack of softness (the other side is the perfect minky fabric) as I'm a rug and it doesn't look good so if you buy that far that looks , it will often be difficult to delete and save his style. It doesn't weigh much but is very warm so I'll probably retire it in warmer weather.
