I am currently using it as my home lab's main switch, trunked over 10GbE to an opnsense firewall via twinax (both types, LAGG, traversing all VLANs) . It works well and actually switches at 10 Gigabit over four SFP+ ports. Correctly performs routing between VLANs and makes it faster than opnsense. I have not tested STP, dynamic VLANs, mirroring or Netflow. My main issue with this is the horrible configuration web interface and the occasional difficulty saving settings. I mean sometimes the settings come back right after setting after a reboot, which is annoying. Basically I have to make a few adjustments, save and then reload to make sure it actually saves. It's about 50/50 if they really save. However, once it hangs after rebooting, it never comes back later, so for someone like me who doesn't change settings often, that's tolerable. I've dealt with terrible web interfaces in the past, but it doesn't usually matter as I prefer and usually use the CLI anyway. The problem is that this model doesn't have a CLI that I'm aware of. Another benefit is that it has worked with all fiber optic transceivers I've tested so far, including Brocade, Cisco, and Ubiquity. A solid device that offers consistent performance (exactly what you'd expect from a Switch) at a very reasonable price once you get the hang of it. I wouldn't use it in production more than as a redundant EdgeSwitch, but it's a great device for the development lab or at home. And the last remark. Not a single firmware update has been released in over a year, so take that for granted.
