Review on Pirelli Cinturato P1 Verde 185/65 R15 92H summer by Adam Chyliski ᠌

In general, it's pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

Regular tires on Datsun Mi-Do in the maximum configuration. Dimension 185/55/R15. Fitted on stock alloy wheels. In operation for the second summer season, rubber mileage is about 9-10 thousand km. The tread is like new, but two of the four tires already have lateral hernias, and the third has a through side cut. If the roads were without holes, then the tires would be great. And in real life, where driving is a continuous slalom and maneuvering between the pits, where sometimes it’s impossible to go around the pit at all without driving into the oncoming lane, along which other cars are moving at that time, and you have to choose either to brake sharply to a complete stop in front of the pit, risking get in the of the car following you, or slip through the hole - each "fly" leads to a lateral hernia on the tire. And you find the second minus when you come across the first - in retail Pirelli Cinturato P1 185/55/15 costs about 4 thousand per tire, and then to order in online stores. Rare tires and rare size! And it is difficult to find it on ebay, in particular in our region. So, having planted a hernia, just go to an auto shop and buy a pair of the same new replacement tires, or at least a couple of whole used ones. It won't work through ebay. You have to go to a tire shop and put patches on hernias and hope that the damaged tire will not shoot in the future. So I advise my compatriots to choose tires with a higher profile, a stiffer sidewall, a common model (so that it is easy to replace in case of an accident), and give preference to stamping before casting - a stamped rim bends on impact, but does not spoil the rubber. A bent stamped disc is easily corrected with a sledgehammer and then rides like new.

Pros
  • - tread wear resistance - tread pattern - no aquaplaning at speeds up to 110-120 km/h inclusive (and now it's expensive to drive faster because of the cameras)
Cons
  • - low profile + soft sidewall = side hernias and cuts when hit in a hole in the road. And in 2022, you won’t be able to drive and not fall into the pits, except to drive to the MSC exclusively along Kutuzovsky Prospekt. -price
