I have just over 800GB of data stored on this drive. Folders and files were fine. I opened many of them for testing. Later that day I tried saving additional files to that drive. None of them are transmitted. Assuming these were my source files, I tried many, many times to get it to work. I then proceeded to restart my computer and the drive. When I plugged the drive back in, I got a message saying the device was damaged. I have the same message on another computer. I'm currently waiting for the drive's scan and repair action to complete. Whether it works again or not, I can't trust that. I'm very frustrated as I deleted the original backup files (I verified they were backed up and working) and I need to get back the drive where my personal data is stored. It can't be deleted because it's inaccessible, but how do I know if someone else can access the data?
