This is a ready to use gimbal mainly for GoPro cameras. It holds the camera very well and I get good results with it. A retractable selfie stick is integrated into the grip. I use it with GoPro Hero 7 Black and Hero 8 Black. Hero 7 is inserted into the holder and fixed with a clip. I haven't tested this myself, but the Hero 5, 6, and 7 are the same size, so I'd expect the 5 and 6 to snap in the same way. The Hero 8 is slightly different in size/shape so I had to remove the gimbal clip and install a custom frame mount (included) to use it. The Hero 8 is then attached to the frame by tightening two screws. Hero 7 has good built-in Hypersmooth stabilization and Hero 8 has even better Hypersmooth 2.0. But stabilization only works in certain modes. Also, Hypersmooth is software electronic (EIS) stabilization and sometimes there are artefacts in the frames, so a gimbal like this Vimble can give better results. I expect to use Vimble about 50% of the time. The remaining 50% is associated with installing the camera (on a helmet, etc.) or using the camera's built-in Hypersmooth. FeiyuTech also has a phone app that can be used to remotely control the gimbal and/or change the angle. button functions. I used it to update the firmware. I had version 1.003 and was able to upgrade to 1.004 without any problems. The built-in selfie stand is really unique and useful and comes with a nice soft carrying case. The gimbal is ready to use and does not need to be balanced. I've noticed that the axes aren't perfectly balanced (when the gimbal is off, the camera doesn't stay in all positions when placed there by hand), but the motors seem strong enough and I haven't had any issues with hum or noise while doing so use vibrations. The cameras are quick and easy to install, especially the Hero 7. Unfortunately the mount will have to be changed if the Hero 8 is used. The Hero 8's frame mount isn't as quick or easy to use. It only takes a few extra seconds to fix the Hero 8. Only one quick release clip for Hero 5-7 is very convenient. If you have the Hero 5-7 I would say it's a 5 star gimbal considering performance, retractable selfie stick and price. If you have a Hero 8 I would give it one star just because the camera mount isn't that comfortable. I haven't seen any other stabilizer with a mount for Hero 5-7 as good as this Vimble. Conclusion: I like this stabilizer and I think it's really good for the price. The fact that it has a built-in selfie stick extension is quite unique and useful.
