The instructions are not very good and I had to cut out the cardboard to make the base strong. There were many things I had to buy. I added many items. It should be possible to choose pink or blue ribbon. I had to buy a pink ribbon as it was for a girl. Instead of buying a bottle and baby soap to put in the center, use an empty paper towel holder - this worked great. Finally it was beautiful. I would buy it again.

This is a good diaper cake starter kit but to be honest the little sticky stuff doesn't work so I used my tape to make footprints on the diaper cake. I also glued the bottom to the cardboard that I cut out in circles (to give the cake better support if I need to carry it). I also add some fun things. but it's a really good starter kit. I made two cakes with two sets: one for a genderless cake, one for a boy. I didn't fold diapers, I used a different method but it worked fine with kits.

I brought this for a kids party project. I was happy to receive it and work on it. But when the package arrived it was really dirty. I was delighted to receive this in the mail for a gender neutral baby shower. The instructions seemed simple, but I had to enlist my husband's help because you can't close and elastic the rolled up diapers yourself. I used elastics for the top layer and the middles of the bottom layer. It all included cake assembly instructions which were very helpful, a flimsy thin round base mostly paper, cardboard blocks/blue tape/foot cardboard. This is a good starter kit. The directions are good, there is a (what I would call) PATTERN/TOP PLATE that should act as a pie circle for the weight of the entire project. . Will not happen. You'll need to reinforce it with your own cardboard if you want it to be durable. However, it is cute with little baby feet on it. If you want to keep it simple, this set will do. Attention - you have to buy approx. 100 rubber bands separately! This kit was expensive for what it included. I just used round paper for the base, ribbons (it was only blue) around each layer, and blocks on top. Small decorations for children's feet are not attached to the supplied adhesive stickers.
