The unit was most likely rated at 12V before they added the EMI bead (also known as a ferrite bead or similar component). I installed in the garage the HyLoft before and thought I try those ones for the laundry room. Installation is the same as before, check where the studs are and mark your drill points, drill and screw in. I do not like the movement of the shelf base. They added some Velcro bands to fix it in place but that’s not an elegant solution. The HyLoft have a clip at the back which is not really visible (so better than those ones here). This sink is a nightmare. The pitch of the sink is not deep enough so any small debris from plates or liquid poured into the sink just lays in the bottom. You have to use the sprayer to herd everything into the drain basket with each use. You need to remove the bottom grate to get missed debris out. Everything you put in the sink drips on and through the grate, leaving drips of grime underneath. So, spray out the sink, remove and scrub top and bottom of grate every day. Also it is not durable.
