Let me start by saying that they don't look remotely realistic. That being said, I needed a large number of conical candles for my annual Halloween party and they fit the bill perfectly. They don't fit very well in my standard candle holders, but the sticky putty took care of that. In addition, the on/off mechanism is fantastic. I have a few that require you to rotate the base in order for them to work. It's a pain if I just keep them in the holder and then have to take them out to turn them on. I am very glad that I no longer have an open fire. I think they will look great once the lighting is done and the house is decorated. Overall I am happy with my purchase.
