TL/DR: buy it now! It's awesome! First of all a big thank you to LETWING for stocking this and using Amazon! I received it a day after ordering. Gotta love Revane Prime! It came in great packaging and I received a small microfiber cloth. I never have too many :) Anyway. via B1. HOLY COW! The light quality of a bare head is smooth as butter. I do a lot of outdoor headshots and I'm pretty sure I can use the V1 as a kicker with no modifier. That's a big plus! So far I've used it as the main light in both silver and white medium depth Profoto umbrellas. It fills them in evenly, much better than a standard Speedlite. The light quality from this thing is AMAZING! Battery life. Well it's fantastic. In fact, I haven't drained the battery to the end yet. I've done seven mini headshot sessions and the battery is about 3/4 full. It's damn impressive. I seriously don't understand how they put so much energy into these things! Build quality is better than other Godox flashes I have. He's super persistent. The battery mechanism is good! I only have one battery so far, but I can say that swapping out batteries for this thing in the middle of a meeting or wedding won't be a problem! There is no battery compartment. It opens with a push of the thumb. Great design! The buttons are all standard. You feel comfortable with them. Nice and clicky. Not too hard, not too soft. The foot seems pretty strong. I used it on a standard umbrella swivel until I got an S mount that goes well with the new design. But the new locking mechanism is a lot better than the screw lock on older devices. So this is another long-awaited update. Overall 10/10. I will definitely be replacing my other Godox devices with these V1s!
