Review on Samsung Gear Sport Wi-Fi NFC Smartwatch, black by Anuson Chaosuan ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

After reading about the importance of heart rate tracking during workouts, I decided to test the information in action with my Galaxy S9+, which has a heart rate sensor. During strength exercises between sets, I tried to keep the pulse no higher than 128 beats / min. (which is normal for my body). Prior to this, the rest did in time for 1-2 minutes. After 1.5 hours of training, I felt that there was no such fatigue as before with the same loads. He returned home with a reserve of strength, and not completely exhausted. Because measuring the pulse constantly with the phone is not convenient, I thought about buying this device. I immediately liked the Gear Sport, they suit me in terms of price, functionality and design, but there are a lot of complaints about the inaccuracy of measuring the pulse. I doubted that the problem was with the sensor, but in the software it is quite possible. I went to the forums on the Galaxy Watch (46 mm) and Gear S3, and there opinions differ. For some, it gives accurate measurements of the pulse, for others it is measured with a large error. There were opinions about the hairline that interferes with measurements, and the thickness of the skin. Based on all this information, I made a choice in favor of Gear Sport, and I was not mistaken. Out of the box, I immediately ated the firmware to the latest version, the pulse is measured quite accurately, the OS does not lag, I work quickly and smoothly. At first, the charge was kept for 1.5 - 2 days, after a week the battery came to life and holds for 3 days. I am completely satisfied with the watch, the only thing I would like is a slightly larger size.

Pros
  • - Adequate cost (took for 12 200r.). - Support from Samsung - work on fixing deficiencies, taking into account the wishes of customers. - I liked the design of Gear Sport (I chose between Galaxy Watch (46 mm), Gear S3, Classic). - Some people think the strap is cheap, but I don't think so - it's soft, fits my hand perfectly, doesn't cause allergies in me. - Excellent screen. - Accurately measures the pulse (compared with an Omron tonometer, an error of 1-2 units, see photo). - The charge is kept for 3 days. - A large number of dials for every taste. - Protection against water.
Cons
  • - Not enough strength training. - In motion, while running, it can give out the result of measuring the pulse with a delay of a couple of seconds. - Few dials that can be customized. - Few useful applications (I never found a decent application for tracking exchange rates).
