This corner strainer is better than I expected. I bought it so we can scrape food off our plates; The pieces are caught and the liquid drains. Then throw away the leftovers. But I use it for so much more. I keep my sponge in it. After cutting vegetables, fruits and meat, I stuff unnecessary things there so that they are easier to clean. When I've used my chef's knives, I keep them here until I'm ready to wash and put them away. When I wash dishes, I just toss them around, rinse them off and put them back in the sink. If it's been used a lot, I throw it in the dishwasher to disinfect it. This is the perfect sink accessory and I am very glad I decided to purchase it.
