I have Altra Trailrunners but on the advice of my son decided to try them. In the toe area they are not wide enough for me. When I first tried them on, my pinky toe was so tight and sore. After wearing them for a day, the old neuroma reappeared due to the narrow width of these shoes. Arch support is great and is set back a bit as some people have mentioned, but it was ok for me. The heel definitely feels "hollow" and snug, but it didn't really bother me. They were surprisingly light which made me think "cheap" but they seemed pretty well put together even though I only tasted them for two days. They're really nice shoes so I hate returning them but since I can't wear them they come back.
