I use this device as a wireless bridge. My house is outside of town, in a ravine. I don't have wireless internet access in sight. My neighbor is up the hill and has internet access (wireless). I use two of these devices to connect them together as a wireless bridge. My neighbor's house is about 1/4 mile from here. I programmed two Nanostations using the Nanostation M5 setup via Crosstalk Solutions on YouTube and just wired them together. The house on the hill has 60Mbps internet (I got permission from my ISP after they did a survey and found I was a candidate for this service). I get 20 Mbps in and 20 Mbps out with a 10ms ping. At home I have a switch (TP-Link SG1016DE) and a WAP wireless access point (TP-Link AC1200) connected to this end of the bridge. I can access the main router on the hill and all my connected devices through the unmanaged switch and WAP appear to be wired connections. So far it's working great! I didn't have really good options for the internet and now I can stream and download without the limitations that ISPs have. This supports my kids' games and multiple TVs streaming Netflix. I'll experiment to see what I can do to increase the up/down speed and try to improve system performance in a few months. I've had this configuration for a month and a half and I really like it!
