Yesterday I used this needle for the first time on a product that I knit on the go. So I sewed through cotton, plus 2 layers of fabric. I also used a light (50 weight) Aurifil thread. So far sewing is great. The fabric no longer needs to be "pierced", slides easily and I'm definitely happy with the result (with the special thread I used). It is also used in the Bernina sewing machine. I haven't used it for embroidery, but if I sew the same ones I would buy more. When it comes to embroidery, my biggest concern is how the embroidery thread will go through the eye of the needle.
