I had never heard of Scepter as a brand, so dead pixels, DOA or cheap materials bothered me. There are no dead pixels, it works right out of the box, and the base and neck are made of strong, heavy metal. The instructions were simple and clear - the only problem was user error. So far it seems really great for the price. Other monitors with similar features cost two to three times as much. All I want to say is that you know you are buying a BIG monitor. I didn't pay enough attention to the space and the monitor dominates the area, but that was my fault, not the manufacturer's.
