I ordered the Spornia SPG-7 on 2-16-21 and it arrived the very next day, even though the estimated delivery date was 2-22 to 2-24-21. Under-promise, over-deliver. Nice surprise! Set-up took about 5 minutes, not because it's complicated, rather, because I was unfamiliar with it. After set-up, I found the performance to be fantastic! The target sheet in front of the net completely envelopes the ball and as it unfurls, the ball gently drops down and rolls right back to your feet! I used only one ball and barely had to move during my first session using it, (150-200 hits). When hitting high-lofted clubs (gap, sand & lob), the target sheet doesn't envelope the ball as impact is made near the top of the sheet, however, the ball still rolls down the sheet and back to your feet. I found the description bullet points from Spornia to be accurate. This net replaced an IZZO Big Mouth that lasted over 10 years. The IZZO was easy to set up but a PITA to fold up for storage. Because of this, I left it up most of the time inside my garage, which Command Central wasn't too happy about. It served me well but was getting tired and a well struck 8-iron zinged through it recently and left a permanent reminder in the door to the house. Thankfully, someone wasn't opening the door at the time. Back to the Spornia SPG-7. This unit comes out of the 3'x3' box and springs into a flat, square shape and sits like a waffle iron until you raise the backstop portion into a vertical position. The backstop is held vertically by rods that get inserted into brass eyelets on the edges of both panels, which can be seen in the manufacturer's pics. I believe it will be a breeze to move it into the back yard so I can hit some tee shots with driver (don't quite have enough room in the garage to do so). In summary, the SPG-7, while relatively expensive, is, in my mind, worth every penny. It is clearly well made, is sturdy when set up, has a smaller 7' x 7' footprint (which is plenty), comes with a nifty chipping net/basket, can be moved easily and, best of all, returns the ball to your feet every time. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and, no, I don't work for Spornia nor did I receive any consideration or discount for this review.
