I am a man with very thick hair. I like the semi-natural look but I love the beachy look. By beach look I mean the look you get by swimming in salt water and not washing your hair there for days (managed messy look). When I use this product after washing my hair it basically roasts my hair, making it very dry. The best method I've found is to style as usual, not wash the hair the next day, but use this product on the third day. Apply a little to hands and roots on semi-dry hair and rub in with hands. This material removes some of the oiliness and leaves the skin looking like it's on the beach. It took me months to find the right products for this look. I use O'Douds as my main product which leaves my hair very soft. If I need to lift a little, then a little tone. The key is don't wash your hair, use products that are good for your hair including sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners.
