Great shoe for $35! This night purple is a beautiful color and I feel very fresh in it! I was looking for shoes that are darker when running so they look good for longer. You'd be surprised how many trail running shoes have white or light gray bottoms. I had already bought Asics so I knew a size 8 would fit me. I can vouch for this brand as my old, lightly used Asics (pictured) are still good, albeit quite dirty, after more than a year. I save them for rainy days. It's important to note that these new ones feel less soft and lighter than other Asics models I've bought before. I really don't mind as it also makes them less clumsy and hot. And despite the smaller volume, I haven't had any problems with the wearing comfort of the new ones.
