Buy two pairs of sport sandals and flip flops

I put these sandals on yesterday and I can't stop wearing them. I'm going on vacation where we'll be walking a lot in a few weeks and I needed a sandal with strong heel padding and straps that wouldn't chafe my blisters. I'm slightly overweight, have high arches, a high instep and a history of planter's fasciitis and a cleft shin, so a good pair of shoes can make or break a holiday for me. In search of the perfect sandals, I ordered a pair of Softspots, these sandals, a pair of Jambus, and a pair of Tevas. I have to say these belts win by a mile. The straps are wide and smooth and there are only two small spots on the instep where I can see they can rub a little after a day of hiking. The straps go well over the foot, which gives them more stability and prevents them from slipping. The heel offers extreme cushioning - I step forward and the cushion keeps growing. All of the other pairs, while having adequate cushioning (Tevas, then Jambus and Softspots were the stiffest), have a much stiffer feel when full weight is applied. The bottom of the shoe is rubberized enough to give them good traction - they don't slip - but the crossed straps and pretty colors make them stylish enough to look great with a pair of shorts. I am in love with these shoes. I'm sending the softspots back and ordering a few more.
