We have owned or have owned thousands of dollars worth of projectors for many years - if you want the best of the best this is not it and you are well out of this price range. However, we tried a budget projector last summer and used it weekly for outdoor movie nights. I think the DC humidity shortened its lifespan, so I decided to order another one (there are several of these from the neighbors, and the projector is cheaper than we would have spent on movie tickets!). I know I wanted something that could get BIG to project on the wall of our house and something BRIGHT for when the sun goes down later, so I went for this one. Overall, it works great even when pushed to the limit. It's feature-packed, has a good picture, and plenty of ports to connect (including streaming wirelessly from your phone or computer). The only downsides I have are minor: the auto keystone correction works great and I'd love to see autofocus in the future, the projector and remote control buttons have a cheap "clicky" feel, and I need a way to keep the lens cap attached to hold so the lawn mower wouldn't find her in the yard after a late night movie. Finally, I think it will be hard to beat this without spending twice the money!
