The review will consist of several parts. I want to learn a few basics. After a few days of use I will have something to say: 1) Customer service. I'm starting here because I got an email before Peter's camera was due to ship. He introduced himself as a "post-sales representative” and said he was ready to help if needed. This was reassuring for any new technology product. I needed it the first night. By the way, the camera arrived a day early. It connected just fine, but I couldn't get it to work in Blue Iris, so I emailed Peter late at night. He came back in the morning with a short video about the Blue Iris settings I needed to change. I did it and whoops. There she is. 2) General This camera has excellent image quality and very effective long-distance night vision. Optical zoom is very good, but focus is limited by firmware settings. I have a couple of older, inexpensive 4X PTZ cameras that connect to Blue Iris via ONVIF, just like this camera. The user can change the focus of these cameras manually. This option is not available here. That being said, everyone should know that we love spotting wildlife, especially birds. When I get very close to the bird, the firmware focuses on the background scene and the bird is out of focus. When used in city/urban areas, this is not a problem. We are country everywhere and almost special customers. When I zoom out a little everything is fine with the focus on the bird. I will stop for now and say a very good quality product at a great price and very good customer service. is a push. This camera is very close to the horizon to tilt it up. Second, it's been about 2 weeks and the camera doesn't tilt as high as it did when we received it. I have confirmed this with various camera shots of 350 degrees around zero when panning. For some reason the camera shoots low. At this point, the highest slope is below the horizon. 3. This camera cannot continuously rotate (pan) 360 degrees as advertised. It was also never tilted 10 degrees above the horizon. I am currently awaiting further response from customer support. I like the quality of the picture but I need to be able to get the finish. The attached image is over 400 feet at about 18X magnification. I can't get the same shot with the wrong tilt now.
