The effectiveness of this power center has not yet been clarified because it has not yet been tested. The unit's LEDs work fine, but one downside is how tightly it's attached to the wall plate. You can tighten and tighten and tighten the long central screw, but all you will do is deform the bezel behind the device until it breaks. Your only option is to tighten the screw just enough so that the power center doesn't separate from the bezel when you unplug the power cord from the unit. However, this leaves an unstable "wobble" in the device itself; which, over time, may cause the wall faceplate to deform or break. I'm sure this is a design problem that can be easily solved.
