The cable works great! The Arlo brand cable is extremely overpriced at twice the price. Not sure about the durability but I think it will last as long as I need it. It's also worth noting that the included power adapter is separate, so you can plug the cable into a USB outlet, which takes up a lot less space. The Arlo-branded cord cannot be unplugged because it is large and difficult to plug into a weatherproof outdoor outlet.
