It breaks from perfection

After using the original Elite Pro with the Tactical Audio Controller, I was excited for the Turtle Beach sequel. To my surprise, they did almost everything I wanted with the headset. Made a little lighter, better microphone and detachable cable. The headset is immediately very comfortable again and sounds incredible. Using Windows Sonic along with bass and treble boost settings allows me to pinpoint an enemy's location in shooters and capture important audio cues. Very happy with the overall sound quality. However, I would like the volume to be a little louder. That's probably a good volume so as not to damage hearing over long periods of use, but sometimes I'd like a little more power. The Superamp didn't convince me at first, because I really had no problems with the clock from the original. Now I've kind of grown fond of using it and like it more. However, I wish it had more functionality instead of relying so heavily on an audio hub app. I'd love to be able to change sound presets directly from there, but whatever. A really good combo from Turtle Beach which I think beats the Astro A40/Mixamp TR combo for the same price. You get a better sounding headset with a better microphone. Edit 12/07/2018: Was there a firmware update available and my overall volume seems to have increased significantly. Still nowhere near what the original TAC could do, which is disappointing considering how good it sounds. Hopefully another firmware update will be made to increase the volume. Unless the superamp isn't that powerful. The inconvenience of forcing myself to use the app initially rather than letting the superamp do something other than the glorified volume wheel prompted me to return the headset. I want convenience and something that just works with no issues.
