This lens is a real gem. I, like many others, had read the reviews and wasn't convinced that the claims of sharpness and overall awesomeness were just statements by Canon fans touting their gear. After buying this lens and seeing what it can do, I now understand why the reviews for it are so overwhelmingly positive. The color this lens gives is beautiful. On F2 it's a nice bokeh when I need it. Along with my 5Diii, the auto focus is very fast and accurate. Not too big and heavy, at least for me. I was a little worried about that this lens hasn't been updated since its original release in 1996, but now I understand why. You can't improve on perfection. I'm totally impressed and couldn't be happier. The only thing I don't understand is that it's only $1,000?! Great value! Also, Revain sent it to me very quickly and it was packaged very well. 100/100. A+.
