It works once you fix it
So it does work, you just need to help it. The clamp being just hard plastic has no grip, and slides up and down and spins and is annoying. The fix is simple, put something that grips between the clamp and the tube. In my case I used double sided tape (the kind used with those 3M Command Hooks) and now it is solid. I would assume if they just put some rubber on the clamp, it would work like a charm, but they didn't.
