I recently changed my computer and noticed that the built-in audio in the new system has a lot of electrical noise. Of course I didn't want to have a high pitched screeching in my ears all the time, so I bought this converter. However, I didn't think when I received it and didn't check the sound quality. most other people) usually listen to 24-bit quality audio at 44.1 kHz. Unfortunately, this thing can only play 16-bit audio at 44.1 or 48kHz. To be honest, I didn't notice this IMMEDIATELY, but then at the beginning I listened to a song with quite complex effects, and it was IMMEDIATELY clear that the device couldn't handle it. Sounds very messy. Although the built-in sound sounds incredible. I also did a quick test to switch between the converter and my onboard audio and it was immediately clear that my onboard audio sounded MUCH better. It works again. Well, and some people probably won't even notice. But for me it's like watching videos in 720p when you can watch them in 1080p. Or, for example, play video games at 30 fps when your computer can easily handle 60 fps. To be honest I think I'll just go back to onboard audio for a while. I don't like the hiss, but it's not very loud, and I'd rather have some hiss when nothing is playing than have all my audio play at low quality.
