The ties seem average and are holding up well. The package lists the tensile strength of various lengths from 20 pounds for 4 inches to 50 inches for 12 inches. I tested 12" for breaking strength and I'm pretty sure I pulled over 50 pounds when it finally broke. I wouldn't put them in the bumper of a roadkill car, but at rated gauge they do the job better.
