I have many little hobbies. This vacuum cleaner is ideal for cleaning between jobs. Before painting he had no problems with sawdust and glitter. I was interested in the ability to handle the liquid because I knocked over a can of water that I use to clean my brushes. It collected most of the water easily and didn't work (I had a vacuum, clean and dust free). I don't think I would try to suck up liquid if there was something else in the manifold as there is no liquid or dust separator, but both can easily be handled individually. This vacuum picks up pennies, but only after removing the main dust filter, which wasn't perfect, but the spongy replacement filter keeps anything from getting into the fan component. Resetting the dust bin is pretty easy, and you can see when it's full or about to fill. The light was a nice addition and the lack of a cord was why I wanted something like this. Anything that runs on battery doesn't quite match the wired version in terms of performance, but this works very well without lugging around the store's vacuum, cord, hose, etc., which reduces performance. Overall a good product at a reasonable price. Enjoy
