I bought this to replace my Zmodo DVR that would no longer put out a video signal. This worked perfectly. I already had the 4 BNC type cameras wired and in place for outdoor home surveillance. I just swapped the HDD out of the dead DVR, hooked up the 4 cameras and boom. It automatically formatted the HDD and worked great ! I am impressed with this unit. We have only had it for a week and a half, but so far so good. We will monitor the unit to see how it performs over time.

Nice DVR for the money, have yet to check out the network capabilities of the unit but all the expected settings are present. so I may configure it for whatever might encounter. The image quality and night vision capabilities are dependent on my cameras so I'm not considering any of that in this review, even though the displayed images are more than adequate. Setup was simple. Just follow the built in wizard and you are all set. This dvr even has facilities to recover from forgotten passwords…

I really liked the ease of setup and configuration. I like the idea of having a system that isn't dependant on WIFI.One of the best Security DVR's for the money.The DVR & HDD arrived on the same day and they both arrived early!One thing to note is that a separate power supply for the audio connection has to be purchased as well.

Set up is fairly straight forward with the instruction booklet included. However, it occationally freezes recording and doesn't record anything until it is rebooted. It will still show live view during this time but it will not record anything. It's set to reboot weekly but other than that, it works well.

It worked really good picture quality was not bad easy to hook up . Bad thing about it . It doesn’t work with every camera. But over all I give it a 7

Despite the fact that the article indicates that the DVR is compatible with IP cameras with Onvif protocol, I tried to use 3 different cameras of different brands each with Onvif support and none of them worked with the DVR.The DVR is able to find the cameras, but once added it only shows a camera icon with a red "X" on it.

only one bad thing is no usb Wi-Fi because drop ome star . i want use it wireless internet so i see what going on out there but sadly it only work with dsl cable which i dont have n i have try ask tech support they give me nothing to it. camera n cable rest other work good just internet dsl cable don't have in my location only hot spot or nothing

was easy to set up went right online buy itself. easy to work like set up each camera hue brightness. I have all different made and models of camera so it was nice to be able to get the best picture out of each of them.

This item was extremely easy to set up quick to program on my phone and access remotely and for the price you really can't ask for much more.

I have installed this device on our remote network and have had no issues. The install of a HD was simple. Configuration was simple. The only issue I am having is, there is no MAC software for my Macbook Air for me to view the remote cams. I can on My PC and I can on my Iphone with P6Slite which is frustrating.
