This is my review: ARCANITE 128GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive - AK58128G Every time I get a new drive I check a few things. The first and most important thing is that the capacity of the drive is accurate. Memory can be manipulated to show more capacity than it actually has. There are several programs that write data to disk and read what they have written to check the actual space available. Using "Quick Disk Test v1.2" I have come to the conclusion that the displayed capacity of my hard disk is correct. Apart from the displayed capacity, I next check the read and write speeds that can be achieved in practice with my current settings. This is where it gets tricky, I'm not necessarily aiming for the advertised speeds as my hardware and settings are likely not those of the manufacturer. But I expect them to be on the same level. When I tested this, and I've done it multiple times, my speeds were about 30% slower than advertised. It's not that far from my experience with other manufacturers, but below what I expected. So at this point I have to ask if I think this drive is worth the price. The price per GB is actually decent, not outstanding. So at a normal price it would depend on what else is on the market. Selling is no problem. For reference, my test equipment was: Software: Quick Disk Test v1.2 for disk capacity CrystalDiskMark 6.0.2 for disk speed. Hardware: i7 6850K @ 3.8GHz on Taichi x9932Gb DDR4 Ram @ 3000MHzGtX 1080Ti Samsung 970 Pro 1TB / 4TB HDD
