Tin is securely packaged and looks professional, all 24 metal watercolor half panels are included, have the same amount of paint and fit right in their rows and there is a good range of colours . The inclusion of 2 labeled paper swatches (black and white) and a water brush is a nice touch. Samples on Black Paper: All 24 colors are well represented, although some colors/shades are very similar to each other. Lighter shades of each color give an interesting effect. Samples on white paper: color/shade variations are more visible in visible colors, although some colors are difficult to see. The lighter colors are extra bright compared to the regular watercolors I usually use. What I like: + good variety of colors + each bowl is labeled with a sticker that you can cut to stick on the bottom later and no annoying cellophane + already 2 labeled paper samples for better comparison between dark and light paper is fantastic + the tray halves fit neatly into the rows and don't seem to want to fall out + the tin is long enough to hold a water brush (but not wide enough in between). rows) + Water brush included + Colors come out particularly well on dark paper Areas of improvement: - The close spacing of the rows of pots prevents the supplied water brush from falling into the case (see photo), if they were placed a little closer to the edges the brush could fit perfectly - As with other cans in this style, the extra palette flap opens at an angle (would be nice if they opened flat/flat so the mixes don't run). I haven't tried it on a real painting yet, but from the samples I hope I continue to like them. It's too early to say for sure, but if anyone asked (and had a coupon) I'd say definitely consider buying this watercolor set.
