Yesterday lightning struck near my house and several switches in my house were tripped. Most items in my house were recoverable (even the ones that DID NOT have surge protectors). The only electronics that no longer work are the 6 devices that were plugged into this "surge protector". I called Belkin and they said this product is not covered by the Connected Equipment Warranty. So I just lost my TV, Amazon Fire Stick, Amazon Echo, DVD player, cable box and modem. I thought all surge protectors were supposed to prevent problems like this, but apparently they aren't. I saw another review here that someone had the same issue with a lightning strike so wanted to highlight the same thing. They may work for need, but not for lightning strikes.
