This product does not heat up.
To be honest I can't recommend it. I bought this for my office thinking it would be small enough to give me some extra warmth on my desk - wrong. Only one spot in the duvet gets hot and that's where the cable comes out. I've tried moving the heating element to the center of the blanket but it can't adjust far enough so only the corner area gets hot. The rest of the blanket doesn't retain heat either, so most of the time it's a warm spot on a cold blanket.
