Took 2 hours for ignition parts

Installed on an off-road motorcycle, lit instantly. A 16 year old boy rode a bike for 2 hours and one day he parked the bike and the battery died like it wasn't even in the bike. Tried to charge it but to no avail, put in another used battery and the bike started straight away.
