This is a quality industrial and commercial equipment product. Keep in mind that "quiet" has a slightly different meaning in this context - if you're considering it for use in a home office or break room, there are plenty of quieter options out there. On the other hand, AC Infinity makes the speed (and noise) dial accessible to techies. A little note on assembly: The chassis is made of aluminium. The supplied bolts are quite long, but a bit "thin". What's really cool is that standard 10-32 (network rack) screws can easily be screwed into the mounting holes.
