A few cooling pads have been changed over the years. This one seems to be right in the middle of the package. Cooling isn't bad, but nothing good. The light is pretty mediocre. My biggest problem is the stand. It's made out of cheap flimsy flimsy plastic that looks like it's about to break. I've only been using this thing for a few days and felt like it was going to break a couple of times. If you're looking for a cheap cooling option that you don't move often, then this might work, but overall I wouldn't recommend it.
