The product is very high quality although the plastic lamp looks cheap and the translucent diffuser looks slightly curved. The device is easy to maneuver (the hinges are a little tight but I suspect they will loosen with use). Regardless, the lamp stays where you place it. Various lighting and brightness settings are available depending on the mood and usage. The lamp is very bright, but not as bright as I had hoped. The base is heavy and solid, and the built-in Qi-compatible charger is a nice and convenient touch. I like the fact that the plastic diffuser creates less harsh shadows than other bulbs. open plastic lower edge of the hood cover (see photo). It can be a bit distracting when positioned at eye level or higher. I prefer lamps where I can feel the light myself without seeing the bulb. A skirt or narrow screen around the bottom of the lamp is preferred. However, returning the device is not that unpleasant. A little pricey compared to other devices, but overall it exceeds my needs. I actually bought two of these for each side of my computer and they light up my 3" x 6" desk beautifully.
